Competencies: After completing this module, you will gain an in-depth understanding of concrete crack modelling and the pros/cons of the different approaches.
Who Should Attend? Practicing engineers, and academics with a minimum of two years experience using DIANA, or those who have attended the DIANA Intermediate Modules I2 (Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis in DIANA) & I3 (Reinforced Concrete Analysis in DIANA).
Course Format: The course is divided into two sessions, each session will be approximately 2.5hrs in length, and will include lectures, live demos or insights, and discussions. DIANA will be made available to participants for the duration of the course.
About the Tutor
Dr. Denise Ferreira obtained her MSc in Structural Engineering from University of Porto, Portugal (2009) and her PhD from Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Barcelona (2013). She worked as a researcher being involved in several projects focused on the analysis of concrete structures, covering both numerical and experimental fields. She has worked at DIANA FEA BV since 2016 primarily as a documentation curator for the DIANA developments. She is also part of the DIANA training group, giving lectures and demonstrations, especially dedicated to the structural analysis of concrete structures.
