DIANA FEA (previously TNO DIANA ) is a spin-off company from the Computational Mechanics department of TNO Building and Construction Research Institute in Delft, The Netherlands.
We develop and deliver innovative nonlinear simulation software and value-added services including technical support, training, analysis consultancy and R&D projects. DIANA, the flagship software for advanced calculations, is world renowned as the finest in its class, as the “all in one” solution for Finite Element Analysis.

The history of the company
DIANA has a strong heritage that dates back to the 1970s within the renowned Dutch institute for applied scientific research TNO, in which decades have been devoted to developing the software. In 2003 the DIANA software was spun off into a private company called TNO DIANA B.V.
In 2016, the company changed its name to DIANA FEA B.V. to put more emphasis on the DIANA software. In 2021, DIANA FEA became completely independent from TNO and envisages to position itself as a commercial company towards the future.
DIANA is expanded with further functionality
User-supplied subroutines, sequential linear analysis and reinforcement grid design checks
Sales and marketing activities in conjunction with MidasIT are ceased and focus is placed on the continuing development and sales of DIANA
Technical leap forward with the introduction of reinforcement design checks and stiffness adaptation analysis modules, allowing engineers to predict crack patterns, the size of crack openings, plasticity onset, force distribution and deformations in serviceability limit states.
