A detached DIANA license is a license that is temporarily removed from a pool of licenses on a central networked DIANA license server and which is attached to a computer running DIANA. Detaching a license can be useful if DIANA needs to be used while working remote or offline. This guide assumes you have properly installed a networked DIANA license server and that you have an active license.
1. From the central networked DIANA license server, go to http://localhost:1947, click on “Configuration” and on the “Detachable Licenses” option. Enable the on-demand detaching of licenses and configure the settings as you prefer and click on the “Submit” button.

2. From the computer that runs the DIANA software, go to http://localhost:1947, click on “Configuration” and on the “Detachable Licenses” option. Enable the on-demand detaching of licenses and click on the “Submit” button.

3. From the computer that runs the DIANA software, go to http://localhost:1947, click on “Products” and select the “Detach” option for one of the products that are located on the central networked DIANA license server (not locally located!).

4. Click on the “Online” option, specify the expiration date for the detached license, and click on the “Detach & Attach” button.

5. You will see the confirmation as mentioned below; the license is now detached from the central networked DIANA license server and is available locally on the computer.

6. Click on “Products” to see the active products. You will see the detached license in the list of active products.
