A procedure for crack width evaluation in continuous steel-concrete composite bridges, which accounts for shear-lag effect, is proposed. The proposed procedure employs smeared crack finite element analysis and a governing differential equation for bond-slip behaviour. The numerical results are compared with the results of tests performed on beams subjected to negative bending.
