If you are new to DIANA or haven’t used DIANA for a while, the fastest way to get started is to try out our Getting Started Tutorials.
On the Tutorials page of our website, you can use the Tutorial Type to search for “Getting Started”, and if you are interested in a specific application, eg. linear, nonlinear or phased analyses – you can also use the Analysis Type filter. Getting Started tutorials are short, and these analyses run quickly in DIANA, so you can “put your hands-on” and try them out easily.
You can also look at our “Features Tutorials”, which you can find by using the Tutorial Type filter to search for “Features”. Feature tutorials are short, and right to the point – illustrating recently added features of DIANA.
When you are working in DIANA, and you would like more information about a particular material model, element type, analysis type, etc. you can click on the help link at the bottom of the page (or press F1), this will bring you to the corresponding part of the DIANA Manual.
The manual has three volumes:
- Release Notes - if you are curious about what has changed from the previous release of DIANA FEA, you can look at the Release Notes. There, you will find a brief description of all the new developments in the new version.
- DIANA Documentation – includes the background theory of DIANA, and guidelines. In this volume you will also find the general concepts of modelling with DIANAIE. A good place to start is in “Chapter 4 – DIANA Interactive Environment” and “Part II – Modelling”.
- Verification Report – if you are wondering if DIANA FEA will give an accurate solution to the real problems that you face, you can check this report. You will find DIANA computations, compared with real experimental benchmarks covering a wide range of fields.
If you want to study a particular subject in more details, you will find our Library of Articles contains most of the original reference materials used in the DIANA Documentation.
You can also find a selection of White Paper and Verification Documents on specific topics. There are also a number of examples and case-studies presented in webinars on our YouTube Channel.
